Sorry I haven't been back to update in awhile. Lisa's tumor continues to shrink after each chemo treatment. Dr. Pisters took another chest x-ray and it amazing how much the tumor has shrunk in 3 treatments! Lisa will have a CAT scan on her next visit and that will measure it precisely.

I had a dream Saturday night that Lisa came bouncing into my house and declared, "Cancer free." I believe God sends us messages from time to time and I believe this is one of those times.
Lisa understands that even when she beats this, another battle will begin. One that she will fight daily for the rest of her life.

We have been so fortunate with Lisa being a fighter. We have never had to tell her to keep her chin up, its been held in defiance against this cancer since day one. I love that about her and I'm sure you can understand that it has made it easier on us.

Please continue to keep Lisa in your prayers. I give thanks for all the friends we have that care about her.
Love, Dee Anne

This is wonderful news and I continue to have Lisa and Johnny and the boys in my thoughts and prayers daily!

My uncle on my mom's side had throat cancer last year and had to take chemo and radiation treatments and he had lost his appetite and taste buds. He started taking Zinc supplements during his treatments and once he was done with his chemo his taste buds started coming back quicker than those who don't take the supplements. I told grandma about this so she could tell Aunt Betty, but she forgot and I told Aunt Betty, but just want to make sure the info gets to Lisa. The zinc supplements might help and just thought I would pass that along.

That is such wonderful news!! My family and I can truly sympathize and empathize with what you are going through. I will definitely keep Lisa in my prayers (my father is battling cancer as well). It is so good to hear that she is doing better. Please let us know how she is doing...
I will pray for her daily.
